Facilities

Promotion and Scientific Research in association with the University

The Reserve is actually managed thanks to:

  • interventions to preserve and recover the protected territory
  • promotion of scientific research
  • promotional activities carried out by the Nature Reserve thanks to educational guided visits in collaboration with the Association Italia Nostra.

The results up to this moment:

  • several picnic areas for visitors;
  • suitable panels, with educational and informative boards;
  • a suitable system of boundaries and signs regulating the access and the transit of visitors within the Reserve. The future Reserve Visitor Center will open soon.

Visiting Period
Zones A and B can be visited only in groups and together with a guide. The visits are organized by the association Italia Nostra and are held from May to July on Saturdays 1.30 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. and on Sundays 9.00 a.m. - noon and 1.30 p.m. - 6.00 p.m.
It is possible to carry out guided visits also in other days for groups of at least 15 people, by contacting Comunità Montana Alto Sebino Lovere - Tel. +39 035 4349820 - www.cmaltosebino.bg.it - info@cmlaghi.bg.it
The access to the rest of the territory (C, D and E Zones) is free.

How to Visit the Reserve
The Reserve can be visited only in organized groups and school groups.
The visits can be carried out only on foot, along the educational route.

Picnic Areas

Along the educational trail there are two picnic areas with benches, tables, and wastepaper baskets. According to the regulations, visitors can freely stop in these recreational areas, since they are both situated in C and D zones.

The Exhibit Center

Inside the building situated in the Reserve, Alto Sebino Mountain Community, in association with the Natural Science Museum of Lovere, has prepared an exhibit center with cases and explanatory panels.
