The Magredi site of Campoformido covers a territorial portion of 242 hectares of the high Friuli plain near the city of Udine and in particular in the south-west position. The area is characterized by carbonate deposits of the oldest river terraces of the Cormor Torrent. In these areas, there are still stretches of lean lawns and partly fertilized lawns subject to protection under the Habitat Directive.
