"Viola, lo Sgrunfolo e il Palio dei tritoni" is a tale set in Veglia Devero Park, in Piedmont. With her words, the author Maria Giuliana Saletta leads children in an imaginative and adventurous walk along the Park paths. Viola, the protagonist, has a very strong tie with her grandfather who represents for her, in the pages of the book, an important reference point, her moral and environmental conscience, the past that wants to become future, as well as the love and affection each child should receive from his/her family. Elisa Squillace has been able to transform the thoughts of the author into images and has reproduced in her wonderful drawings some patches of this wonderful park. Children have a hard task: discover whether the tale is pure imagination or reveals a sort of magic reality, as suggested in the book.
