Trekking From Montegrotto to Arquà Petrarca along the paths of thermalism and the landscapes that inspired poets

In May the inauguration of this trek designed and implemented by Hike&Trek. We will experience the Hills on unseen routes in the middle of spring, with guests Regi Cusin and Toni Mazzetti.

Day One: Starting from the beautiful Villa Draghi in Montegrotto Terme, our trek will take us through breathtaking landscapes. Surrounded by quarries, fragrant woods, lush vineyards, serene lakes and restorative hot springs, our legs will lead us along Mount Ceva, Mount Calbarina and Piccolo, until we arrive in the poet's village: Arquà Petrarca. During this day, we will be cheered by views rich in history and fascinating tales. We will discover thermal routes, ancient villas, castles and monasteries, walking on comfortable and fun trails, surrounded by lush vegetation and have the opportunity to photograph some botanical peculiarities.

Day Two: Our goal will be to return to Montegrotto, crossing some of the most iconic passages in the Hills. From the Mottolone plateau, we will descend to Galzignagno and then climb back up to the hermitages area. Our steps will finally guide us through the last hills before reaching Villa Draghi, where we will descend its steps loaded with emotions and unforgettable memories experienced during these two days of adventure.

The distances and elevation gains are comparable on both days, on safe trails (about 20 km per day, with 800 m elevation gain). Despite length and elevation gain, this is not a strenuous trek and suitable for anyone used to walking for several hours a day.

Practical Information:

• Overnight stay: It is possible to stay overnight at a cozy facility among the Hills (see form).
• For special needs, please write to me to best arrange your experience.
• For those who wish to participate only for a day or prefer not to stay overnight in Arquà Petrarca, we can arrange a transfer back to Montegrotto.

Costs:

• Accompaniment with guide: 25 euros per day.
• Optional costs: overnight stay (see form), transportation, dinner and lunches (some agreed proposals will be made, but free choice is left to hikers).
