Didactic Proposals - School Year 2023/2024
Tessere di natura e di cultura Verde"Tessere di natura e di cultura verde (Cards of nature and green culture)" are the nature, environmental and ecological didactic proposals for and with the schools both of the city and the province - i.e., kindergartens, primary schools, first and second grade secondary schools for the school year 2023/2024. These are born from the collaboration between two Sectors of the Brescia Municipality: the Verde Parchi Sector, that manages the Hills Park - P.L.I.S. Parco Locale di Interesse Sovracomunale (Local Supra-Municipal Interest Park) - and the Cultura Sector with the Natural Science Museum. The museum workshops and tours are managed by Cauto - Cooperativa sociale Onlus.
The training project is also related to the Project "Un Filo Naturale. Una comunità che partecipa per trasformare la sfida del cambiamento (A Natural Thread. A community that participates to transform the challenge of change)", promoted by the Brescia Municipality and supported by the Lombardy Region and Fondazione Cariplo.
2. Proposals
The workshops at the Natural Science Museum and the Paths in the Hills Park are to be seen as a chance to be connected with nature, exploration, experimentation, knowledge, sociability and well-being, in different learning environments and in line with the school environment.
Their aims are:
- the development of experience in nature, with nature, and about nature;
- the systemic approach through different ways of thinking;
- the search for relationships and insights.
You can enrol for both proposals: Path in the Hills Park and Workshop at the Natural Science Museum.
The Workshops at the Natural Science Museum of Brescia - labIN and labOUT, are aimed at all schools both in the city and province, and are divided into three hourly modules of one hour and thirty minutes each:
- First shift: 9.00 a.m. - 10.30 a.m.
- Second shift: 10.30 a.m. - 12.00 noon
- Third shift: 2.00 p.m. - 3.30 p.m.
Experience and research even "on the field"
From January 2024, you can also carry out an extensive and recurring full-morning workshop formula.
Module in the "Biodiversity Garden" at the Montagnola Park in the city (labOUT) + Module in the Museum (labIN).
With this proposal, we want to reach schools in other municipalities of the Brescia province, not included in the P.L.I.S. (Parco Locale di Interesse Sovracomunale - Local Supra-Municipal Interest Park)
The Paths in the Brescia Hills Park are aimed at schools within the Municipalities of the P.L.I.S. - i.e., Bovezzo, Brescia, Cellatica, Collebeato, Rezzato and Rodengo Saiano - and cover a total of 6 hours for class:
- 1 hour in class for the presentation and sharing of the chosen thematic focus.
- 2 hours for synthesis in class, so as to systematise knowledge, thus creating room for nature and ecological reflection.
- 3 hours in the Hills Park, so as to explore the nature environment.
You can also carry out 6 hours in one day.
3. Enrolment
For the school year 2023/2024, you can enrol online from the CAUTO website from 1 September 2023 to 7 January 2024, subject to availability.
