The park extends over 1,200 hectares and comprises the floodplains adjacent the river Secchia up to the confluence of the river Po. Besides its natural environments the park is also characterized by the territory's geomorphological features, whith a predominance of the tangle meanders of the river, and by the impressive drainage works witnessing the ancestral man's action to rule the waters. Thanks to its extent and its proximity to the built-up areas of historical and architectural interest, the Park is ideal for bicycle touring, both for young and less young people.
