How can birds fly? Have you ever wondered how a rock ptarmigan can survive at a temperature of -50°C?

Birds can be found everywhere on earth, they have been able to adapt themselves to different habitats and resist in the most inhospitable places. In the world there are about 10,350 known species, different one from the other for behavior and survival strategies.
Visiting the exhibit area of Avimundus, it will be possible to better understand the fascinating world of the sky inhabitants. The heart of the exhibit consists of a collection of over 150 stuffed specimens, divided according to the ecosystem they belong to, their behavior (migratory or wintering birds), the nesting biology (nidicolous, ninifugous, or guests), and their family.
Multimedia points reveal the technical and secret aspects of flight.

  • A rich collection of videos and documentaries on birds and their habitats.
  • Multimedia points on the bird species that regularly nest in the Park's Alto Adige section
  • Guided visits for schools and groups
