Parco Nazionale della Val Grande

Verbania is the capital of the province within which Val Grande and its park are located. It was created in 1939 from the union of the municipalities of Intra and Pallanza, cores separated by San Bernardino, a stream that springs from the Val Grande and that represents the only area of the city included within the protected area, together with Monte Rosso.
