It stretches away from Monviso's two slopes up to the Roero's hills, crossing the Maira, Varaita and Po Valleys and the area of Saluzzo, Racconigi and Savigliano.
The Presence of the Po river, besides the Monviso, and of several landscapes characterized by the balanced relationship between man and nature, and by the ecological and biological richness, makes this territory one of the Alps' natural jewels which has been acknowledged as first transboundary Reserve, along with the French territory called Queyras.
