Strunjan Landscape park

(Portorož, 27 Feb 13) The reconstruction of bridge and embankments are part of the project SALTWORKS for which the Public Institution Nature Park Strunjan successfully acquired the European funds. The project is important for the evaluation, development and promotion of salt pans in the programming area, by establishing the best practices for the use of areas and infrastructures. The project includes the saltpans that are located in the program area between Italy and Slovenia: Salt pans of Cervia, Comacchio, Sečovlje and Strunjan.

One of the main activities of the project is the construction of a bridge and the embankment, which also important  because of the walkways to the information center, which is expected to be restored until the summer 2013th Works are also important because these walking path is located in the municipality of Piran, between the lagoon Stjuža and Strunjan salt pans which is used by many daily visitors of the Nature park Strunjan.
