  • Departure: Convento di S. Silvestro (625m)

This circuit leaves from the square (altitude: 625 meters) of S. Silvestro Monastery (17th century) on Mt. Compatri and the first stretch climbs for about one kilometer, following an asphalt road and leading to 680 meters of altitude. At the end of the uphill stretch, take the road on the right leading to Ciufoli woodland. After about 100 meters, turn left and take a narrow and downhill trail developing among the vegetation, whose final destination is the large and cosy meadow. In these meadows, you can admire in spring the orchids. In late spring, you can also admire the many colors and perfumes of various essences: broom, bladder senna, and hawthorn.
