It dates back to the second half of the 15th century and is situated in Esperia Superiore town center. Over the century, it has been used as a prison, magistrates' court, tobacco factory, and in the second post-war period it housed several homeless families. After decades of abandonment, it has recovered its ancient splendor thanks to a series of renovation measures. Today, besides being one of the Park gateways, it houses a museum dedicated to karstic phenomena and an accommodation center.
