Reptiles and amphibians represent one of the less known features of the Park wildlife. The essay, completed with many pictures, focuses on the biology of these fascinating animals and describes the species living in the National Park. Moreover, it deals with the results of the first systematic research activity on herpetofauna carried out by the authors in the protected area. Some chapters are dedicated to the vegetation of the wetlands, particularly important environments for the amphibians, and to the preservation of these animals.
