Trail Network
The whole territory of Stelvio National Park is crossed by a thick
trail network allowing hikers to reach places of extraordinary beauty
and of great naturalistic, historical, and cultural value.
The
periodical road and path maintenance allows safe journeys to the
several visitors. Trails are carefully signposted with direction and
location sings giving detailed information on the itineraries.
'Accessible Nature' Trail

- Municipality of Sondalo
Stelvio National Park, in association with the Municipal Administration and Morelli Hospital, has prepared two itineraries for people with disabilities. The structures are linked one to the other, and are situated in the south of the town of Sondalo, at 900m above-sea level, in loc. Piazzola and have rest areas provided with wooden fences, tables and benches accessible to wheelchairs, fountains and grills.
Picnic Areas
In the Park territory there are several picnic areas with tables and benches, grills and fountains.
The Park Tour Guides
The Park Tour Guides, particularly experienced mountain tour guides after suitable training courses, lead tours organized during all seasons along the trails crossing the protected area. Particular attention is paid to the activity dedicated to schools: in spring and autumn, tours are organized with the aim to educate children to respect the environment and discover the floristic and animal species living in the territory of Stelvio National Park.
