Stories of captains and soldiers
Guided excursion to Semaforo Nuovo, an important outpost for communication between land and sea, to the military post of Mount Bricco and Batterie, military constructions built during the Second World War to defend the coast. An itinerary that has as its main theme the stories of captains and soldiers. After the guided tour inside the casemates, the return to San Rocco will take place independently along an easy connecting path.
Appointment with the guide at 8.30 am at the church of San Rocco di Camogli (reachable by car - ample paid parking - or on foot from Camogli or Ruta in about 30 minutes)
Route: San Rocco - Gaixella - Semaforo Nuovo - Monte Bricco - Batterie with visit inside the military constructions
Difference in altitude: about 250 m uphill
Difficulty: medium
End of the guided activity scheduled for 1.30 pm. Return to San Rocco independently along an easy path.
Necessary equipment: walking shoes or hiking shoes, flashlight (or mobile phone with charged flashlight), water bottle, community mask.
