Parco Naturale Regionale delle Prealpi Giulie

The Municipality of Venzone is famous in the Region thanks to its "Pumpkin Festival". During this event it is possible to find multicolored cucurbits of any kind and shape  everywhere: in the village's square, in the shop windows, in the inns and in the taverns visitors will find engraved or simply decorated or classic pumpkins. However, only few of them are cultivated in this territory. Only in the last years, thanks to a project called "Una Zucca per Venzone" (A pumpkin for Venzone), the pumpkin production has started again.
