The Recovery of San Lorenzo Park Area
The planning for the recovery of the whole Park area, entrusted to the
architect Pavesi, has been settled in collaboration with Lipu and has
already been started with the creation of trails, rest areas, barriers
with trees and hedges to increase the vegetal structure, the building
of the visitor center, the placing of the bird watching hut, the
recovery of a former Enel booth used as an observatory, the creation of
the so-called "shallow waters", that is a reconfiguration of the quarry
in the nature sanctuary in order to promote the stop of the specimens
belonging to the heron family, the creation of a green area "bird
garden" and of an "exercise course" developing along the Park perimeter.
San Lorenzo Park is a nature sanctuary in which man and nature find balance and harmony;
a renewed link demonstrating how much it can and must be done to
safeguard the territory and at the same time improve the quality of
life.
