Beyond the Lago Vivo: Snowshoeing in Valle Lunga

Extraordinary winter landscapes in the heart of the wildest mountains.

Friday 29 December 2023 from 09:00 to 17:00

A truly spectacular snowshoe hike to fully enjoy the magical winter landscapes.

The Valle Lunga is a large karst plateau that extends from 1800 to 2000 meters above sea level between Monte Tartaro and Monte Altare, in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. The vastness of the spaces, the frame of the peaks of Tartaro and Altare, the magnificent beech forests that you cross to reach it and the great presence of fauna, evidenced by the traces that can be read in the snowy territory, make Valle Lunga a place of great emotions.

EXPERIENCE

  • Walk along a majestic winter itinerary of the Abruzzo Park
  • Admire a landscape of great beauty along the way, walking among beech trees and bright high-altitude grasslands
  • Observe the area in search of wild animal tracks with the help of your guide and listen to his interesting explanations.
