Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago di La Maddalena

This structure, built by the Ministry of War (Marine branch) in the early 1900s, is part of the former military complex of Stagnali and was intended as a troop barrack, where each warehouse could host 100 men.
This settlement, built on land expropriated from Garibaldi's heirs, was prepared for the mobile rescue troops on the coast, in order to ensure the defense of the archipelago against an attempted landing and to prevent the enemy from safely anchoring in inland waters.
