At the border between Umbria and Tuscany, immersed in nature, to rediscover the contact with animals... and the tastes of good food
Our village lies in the Park of the Trasimeno lake, which was created by nature and by the thousand-year old work of those who, like us, contribute to keep the beauty of a unique rural landscape by working one hundred days a year.>>>Country-style apartments immersed in green. Swimming-pool with view of the Trasimeno Lake, restaurant with lake terrace and a farm to discover.
Handmade bread, fried squids, melting chocolate cake and much more…
Stefano and Michela prepare refined but traditional dishes using products from Umbria's and Tuscany's territories: from the mild hills, olive oil and wine is produced with wise ability; from the thick woods, porcini mushrooms and black truffles will season our house-made pasta. In the old olive-oil mill of the Dogana, the view of the Trasimeno Lake will guide you through very relaxing moments…>>>
Holiday Farm, Swimming Pool, Restaurant and Historical Park...
La Dogana Holiday Farm covers about 50 hectares around the 16th century historical building of the "Pontifical Customs", in the past a compulsory stop if you went from the Grand Duchy of Tuscany to Rome. It welcomed eminent guests like Michelangelo, Ghoethe, Byron, and Stendhal. The ancient stone farmhouses surrounding it have been recently renovated to welcome tourists in small but delightfully furnished apartments enjoying a beautiful view over Trasimeno Lake.
Trasimeno Lake is the largest lake of Central Italy, ideal if you love sailing, bathing, fishing, and, of course, nature. Its shores are characterized by small and characteristic fishing villages, ancient castles, small ports, and beaches. Two charming islands are connected thanks to an efficient ferry service.
In this ancient 18th century building, small accommodation structures furnished with taste can welcome 2, 3, 4 persons.
