Who We Are A fascinating experience touching the soul of our guests...
Camillo and Paolino's family is formed by Camillo's wife Marisa and his son and daughter Paolo and Viola. We live in Decontra and we would like to share with our guests the passion for our land, our job, and our products: simple, healthy, and natural... Our grandpa Paolino is the spark that led us to this philosophy: a simple and frank man of just 81 years who enjoys himself in telling our guests the ancient tales of Decontra.>>>
850m of altitude, Pietrantica Holiday Farm has about 7 hectares of land cultivated with organic methods. We mainly cultivate cereals like spelt
and solina common wheat
, vegetables, and fruit. Moreover, our vegetable garden is strictly organic and is at the guests' disposal to offer them genuine and rich tastes. In some periods of the year it is interesting to pick up wild herbs, as well as berries, and, for the experts, also mushrooms.
Apartments and Rooms
The structure has been obtained from some old barns that have been renovated respecting the original materials and building techniques: Majella stone, wood, and fired bricks... According to these conditions, we have also maintained the original inner division: we have renovated six rooms with bathroom and two small apartments with kitchenette and fireplace. All rooms are completely independent...
Sport and hikes
We are in the heart of Majella National Park
, here the spontaneous flora is protected, here you can find several very rare species of flowers like for instance the orange and Turk's cap lilies, Aquilegia magellensis
, Viola eugenia magellensis
, gentians, mountain anemones, edelweiss, and many others...
