From the mountain hut, the trail continues uphill among rocky ramparts shaped by ancient glaciers, behind which the big Lago superiore della Sella (Sella Upper Lake) is concealed.
A still perfect and regular mule track - the King used not to walk to the hunting lodge: it used to reach it on horseback - leads to the panoramic Colle di Valmiana.
With a long downhill trail you will reach the 19th century lodge built at Piano del Valasco according to the will of Vittorio Emanuele II.
