Leaving behind the big pastureland plain of Valasco, the trail develops uphill among the centuries-old larches and along the hairpin bends of Val Morta.
You will follow a spectacular paved military road which, crossing Colletto del Valasco, reaches the plateau of Fremamorta Lakes.
After walking along the lower and middle lakes towards Colle di Fremamorta, a long downhill trail leads to Piano della Casa del Re. From here you can reach Remondino Mountain Hut, where you will enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramas of Alpi Marittime.
