Ravines and Dolines Surrounded by Woodlands and Cultivated Fields...

Curious calcareous spires overhang the Bormida river, rising from chestnut tree woods and mixed woods of the small Bric Tana regional park, important for the presence of superficial and underground karstic forms. In some cavities you can see the detachment niches of the grindstones, the result of the work carried out by patient stonecutters, while prehistoric finds have been discovered in the location called "Tana dell'Orpe". Paleobotanic research activities linked to the study of the pollens found in the site have given the opportunity to trace the original state of the places and the food habits of the ancient population.
