Environmental Education Program 2012/2013 - 2013/2014

The Parco del Lura Consortium proposes several and different projects, depending on the age group, to involve young students in the ongoing transformation of their territory by giving them interpretations and instruments allowing them to actively participate. The different themes of the Environmental Education Program for the School-Years 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 are consistent with the activities and goals of the Park Authority, but they will be adapted according to the needs of both classes and teachers. The Environmental Education Programs are carried out through workshops whose goal is to completely involve classes and teachers, who will have to realize a final work (researches, web pages, land-art works, articles etc…) that will become a heritage for the school community and for the territory. The works may be exhibited on the occasion of events and exhibitions organized by he Consortium to enhance classes' work and strengthen the communicative messages of the Parco del Lura. The workshops briefly described below will be described in detail during the co-planning phase, and they will be adapted depending on the age group. For sshools of any grade.

For each workshop the proposals are:

• a co-planning meeting between teachers and environmental educators
• a meeting in the classroom where the educator presents the theme he has chosen
• a school trip to collect information and opinions
• a summary meeting to realize the final product
