Visitor Centers

There are four departure points where you can start discovering the extraordinary Park territory. As a matter of fact, there are four Visitor Centers, each dealing with a specific issue. Camugnano Visitor Center introduces the Park and its natural and landscape features; the Waters Laboratory in Suviana introduces the river and lake ecosystem, the driving power of water from mills to hydroelectric power plants, the hydrogeological instability; the Forest Museum at Poranceto surrounded by a wonderful centuries-old chestnut tree woodland deals with the woodland, its features and traditional exploitation in the local economy; the Center of Castiglione dei Pepoli (under construction) deals with the issue of the fossil and geological conformations.
