The park of Lakes Suviana and Brasimone expands in the central sector of the Bolognese moutains, around two large bassins created from the early twentieth century for hydroelectric purposes. 85% of the Park is covered by forests: mixed woods of oaks, beeches and conifer reforestation almost entirely cover the slopes and sandstone of the main reliefs of the Park. , These woods in September are animated by the roar of the deer, a majestic animal symbol of the Park.
The environmental education courses for the classes of all levels deal with the theme of water, energy, sustainable development, sustainable agricultural practices, as well as dealing with emergencies and naturalistic peculiarities of the Protected Area (the forest, the chestnut, the stream, the deer ...). The Park is an ideal place for guided tours and educational stays even in summer, to let the kids discover the harmonious contrast between technology and nature and between ancient and modern in the heart of our Apennines. Personalized itineraries and educational proposals can be arranged that take into account the needs of the classes and individual groups.
