Traditional Local Dishes

The traditional recipes preserve a gastronomical heritage that is being enhanced.
The local dishes are:

  • Pestith: turnips soaked in boiling water and fermented
  • Frico: made with soft cheese, potatoes, and eggs cooked to obtain an appetizing mixture
  • Petut: a dessert similar to the so-called pinza
  • Salami cooked in vinegar
  • Game cooked in wine
  • Barley and beans
  • Petuccia: salami made with sheep and beef meat, flavored with sweet fennel and smoked with juniper wood.
