Environmental Education has always been one of the priority activities carried out by Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve. The collaboration with the local schools has been developed with programs prepared according to the needs of the teachers who, together with the operators of the protected area, draw up the projects to include in the school program. Over the years, the protected area has created various structures where it is possible to deal with environmental issues. These structures include:
The other structures put at disposal by Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve for the knowledge and the study of the environment are the House of the Rural Traditions in Casale Felceto, the water mill along the stream Subissone, the Workshop of the Earth at Cava del Bianchi.
In the field of Environmental Education, the Park Authority works in collaboration with Association Pegasus, managing the astronomical oasis, and the Cooperative L'Ape Regina, managing the Flower Naturalistic Museum, the school camps, and the day trips. The programs are planned and agreed on with the protected area: therefore, the Park Authority controls and certifies the quality of the activities.
