«W la regina»: «hurrah for the Queen» are the memorable white and giant words you can read on the wall of the house of Sant'Anna from where Alta Via dei Re leaves, a trekking following the trails of the kings-hunters of the House of Savoy.
The royalty used to go along this trail for adventurous chamois beats or simple walks: in front of the graffiti dedicated to her, Queen Elena used to go through for trout fishing at Lago inferiore della Sella (Sella Lower Lake), on whose shores you will find Livio Bianco Mountain Hut.
The trail, rather steep at the beginning, becomes after a stretch gentler and more panoramic: it crosses an area consisting of large grasslands where it is easy to sight herds and chamois, flocks and horses, and then it reaches the shores of the lake, near the mountain hut.
