Appia Antica Park is a protected area since 1988. Its 3,400 hectares of perimeter include the first 16 kilometers of the ancient consular road (from Porta San Sebastiano to the crossroads with via Appia Nuova in Frattocchie), Valle della Caffarella, the archaeological site of the Tombs of Via Latina, the surroundings of Via Tuscolana where you will find the ruins of the six Roman acqueducts dating back to the Republican and Imperial period with the green area of Tor Fiscale and the two big agricultural estates of Tormarancia and Farnesiana.
