In the Caffarella Valley, it reflects the history of Rome, of the city and of the culture, of the people who inhabited it and of the territory where they settled. Situated by the Aurelian Walls and enclosed between two ancient ways, the Via Latina and the Via Appia, the valley was a the scene of myths and legends inspired by the mild reliefs representing a natural border, and by the presence of the river Almone, a small tributary which was considered a sacred river by the Ancient Romans from the earliest times.
