Merlot

PDO Colli Bolognesi Wine
It is obtained from the vine variety of the same name for at least 85%, while the remaining 15% comes from black grapes authorised and cultivated in the Colli Bolognesi area. This vine variety takes its origins from the south-west of France, the Bordeaux region, and precisely from the Gironde area: the first cultivation reports date back to the end of the 19th century. Its colour is ruby red with violet reflections. On the palate, it is dry, soft, savoury. It goes well with traditional Emilian dishes, such as lasagne, cannelloni, tagliatelle, soups in broth, as well as meats, mushrooms and, especially if aged three or four years, with mature cheeses.
