A memory place within a context of high value

The Parco Storico di Monte Sole, situated between the valleys of Reno and Setta, is above all a tale. In these reliefs, whose outlines are both smooth and uneven, different populations followed one another, and testimonies of their presence are still kept here. In Monte Sole history has left deep signs and a silence telling us not to forget. The Area is especially known because of the facts dating back in 1944 during Autumn, when the Nazi troops massacred hundreds of these lands' inhabitants, and erased the quiet and hard-working life of the local communities.
