The changing climate: non-native species in an aquatic environment

Thursday 4 July 2024

Climate change amplifies the effects of all the other threats to the marine ecosystems.
The Mediterranean is the sea that has warmed most quickly over the past 50 years, and one of the consequences of this acceleration is the spread of exotic species like the nutria, the tiger mosquito, the Louisiana crayfish, and the water hyacinth. We will talk about this topic with Professor Letizia Marsili (University of Siena), who will also explain to us the actions undertaken by institutions to combat these new threats. Children's activity corner with the Park Guide. To be followed by a small tasting of local products.
