Environmental Education

The Environmental Education model which was rather widespread in the 1970s, stuck to a protectionist vision of nature, has been gradually replaced by a principle according to which environmental education is a privileged context to develop measures and sustainability-oriented educational processes, where the complexity of the man-environment relationship in the post-industrial societies is the main issue to face (…)". When it comes to face the environmental issue, the strengthening of the systemic and holistic vision has led to privilege approaches and methods based on multidisciplinarity. For this reason, Environmental Education considers the complexity of the environmental systems as the main object of survey and reflection.
