Environmental Education Program - School Year 2009/2010

Also this year the Environmental Education Center of Sirente Velino Regional Park, managed since August 2007 by Sherpa coop and Cogecstre coop, offers to all the compulsory schools in the Park Municipalities or in the adjacent Municipalities activities aiming at sensitizing young people to environmental issues and offering a valid help to the teachers' didactic activities. Promoting the awareness of the environmental heritage of Sirente Velino Park through the knowledge of water, air, earth, and fire: essential natural elements without which life wouldn't be possible. The main aim of our environmental education program is to develop in kids the ability to observe with different eyes the things surrounding us we often ignore.
This is the main aim of the environmental education meetings, characterized by a strong motivation. During the meetings, we will suggest interdisciplinary activities aimed at stimulating observation skills and the kids' critical judgment, promoting the growth of the individual in its entirety (sensations, emotions, feelings, creativity) through action, game, and experience.
