Marinetta Observatory, built respecting the architectural lines of the characteristic "casone" (fishing hut) of the lagoon, develops on three floors. The lower floor is equipped for underwater observation activities: it gives the opportunity to observe the recovered area, the surrounding marshes, and the whole Gulf of Trieste.
It is a café with wide glass walls, ideal for a break and a snack after the walk. For large groups, booking is recommended.
The structure is situated inside Foce dell'Isonzo Regional Nature Reserve and offers a few rooms welcoming from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 6 persons, bathrooms (2) to share. If you prefer to plan the day by your own, the structure has an equipped kitchen you can use and a dining room. Moreover, there is the possibility of bed & breakfast, half-board, and full-board service at the refreshment point of Foce dell'Isonzo Regional Nature Reserve.
Moreover, the structure has a congress hall, two classrooms, and a room used as Secretary's Office on the first floor, reserved to congresses and seminars. The Nature Reserve puts these spaces at the disposal of authorities, associations, public and private bodies that can use them to organize congresses, meetings, workshops, assemblies, and presentations. The structure is an ideal place if you want to carry out your activities in a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere which is guaranteed by the location of the Nature Reserve. The several facilities the Nature Reserve offers give the opportunity, if you like, to complete your stay not only with catering, but also with the knowledge of the environmental features of the protected area.
Didactic Proposals to learn to observe, to understand, to study. The possibility to carry out didactic activities in the Nature Reserve is exciting, varied, and unforgettable. Activities for groups: guided visits, workshops, outdoor workshops, educational games, long-term programs, training experiences.

Foce dell'Isonzo Regional Nature Reserve offers the opportunity to use a boat to carry out tours along the last stretch of the river, up to the wonderful area of the mouth. The river itinerary gives the possibility to observe uncontaminated natural environments and the species populating them from a very special point of view.
Moreover, you will admire a wild herd of Camargue horses living in the areas adjacent the mouth.
Where the river meets the sea, visitors will enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Gulf of Trieste.
The guided visits can be carried out by previous booking along the various routes of the Nature Reserve.
The ticket office is open from Monday to Sunday, 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.
