The Engea horse-riding center

By previous booking it is possible to carry out several horse-riding activities with the Camargue white horses living in the wild within the Reserve.
The classical hike to visit the pastures lasts about two hours and leads to the Isonzo River's mouth, crossing many different environments. The walks up to the river mouth are suitable for everybody, beginners and experts, because the route is well known by the horses that stay all together as members of the same herd.
It is also possible to take part in horse-riding courses for both beginners and advanced, which take place within the horse-riding schools of the Reserve, surrounded by nature and by the ponds where birds and amphibians frame the lessons. There is also the opportunity to take part in intensive apprenticeship to get closer to the horse world and for training. The apprenticeships are dedicated to anybody who want to learn more about horses, and they are organized to use a natural approach based on the behavior of these wonderful animals.
