Parco regionale dell'Alto Appennino Modenese

Also called Frignano Park, according to the historical name of this beautiful mountain region, this protected area represents the quintessence of the Apennines, including the highest mountain section of the ridge between Tuscany and Emilia. Going along the rich trail network, the visitor will discover a varied reality rich in woodlands and peat bogs, ancient villages and clear torrents, lakes and rocks, before reaching the open spaces of the high-mountain grasslands: here, plants and animals isolated since the glacial periods have found shelter. A fascinating discovery journey that will astonish anyone who is ready to admire the signs of man and the wonders of nature.
