An easy ring-route around Lago della Stua, in the central part of one of the most famous valleys of the Park.

Along this nature route, the outcrops of the Dolomia Principale dominate, and the actions of watercourses, quaternary glaciers, and karstic phenomena are evident. Small lateral valleys in continuous evolution can be found on several faults. The vegetal landscape is varied: submontane woods with Hop Hornbeams and Beeches, drier slopes with Scots Pines, meadow areas, rocky outcrops and gullies subject to landslides and colonized by pioneer plants. There are several occasions to admire rare or particularly significant plants such as Silene Veselskyi, Asplenium seelosii, the Moonwort, the Golden-rayed Lily, the Ladybells, and the Black False Hellebore. Broadleaf tree woods house several passerines, while the meadows, especially in spring, house the roe deer and the mouflon. Characteristic inhabitants of the stream Caorame and Lago della Stua are the Grey Wagtail, the Dipper, and toads, which, in hundreds, reach the lake from the surrounding woody slopes.
