Conca di Cajada

Between Ponte nelle Alpi and Longarone, the main features of the steep eastern slopes of Mt. Serva are the dry meadows, the pinewoods, and the bush formations. The flora is particularly interesting in Molin dei Frari valley, especially at lower altitudes outside the current Park borders.
An asphalt road leaving from Faè, which was strongly criticized in the past, leads you to the marvelous "conca di Caiada" characterized by various rural buildings, wide grassy clearings, and a forest which is probably the most famous and productive of the whole Park. The forest consists of beeches, silver firs, spruce firs, and larches in different quantities. A few trails, usually not very known, offer various connections recommended to expert hikers only. Across Forcella Caneva you can reach the basin of Pis Pilùn.
