Environmental Education - School Year 2012/2013

Mincio Park develops along the lower section of Garda Lake to river Po: 73 kilometers of river and 13 Municipalities in the territory of Lombardy. This is the environmental education area for which the Park suggests discovery activities (half-day or full-day naturalistic tours) and didactic projects (partly carried out in the classroom and partly outdoors, exclusively dedicated to the schools of the provincial territory).
The activities can also include environmental education workshops and are ideal - diversified - for all kinds of schools.
The Park directly manages the school bookings and entrusts the different classes to the environmental tour guides of Associazione Per il Parco and coop. Koinè.
The tour program includes visiting itineraries dedicated to the knowledge of the river environment, the local Nature Reserves, and the Sites of the European Natura 2000 Network, with the educational aim to promote the understanding of the values of the protected area. The visits are usually carried out on foot, but some of them include the possibility to carry out tours by motorboat.
