Guidebook to discover and protect the animals of the Park

This volume is the result of a research activity promoted by the Park Authority on the wildlife of Nebrodi Park, with the aim to better discover the local naturalistic heritage.
The collected data highlight the important role played by Nebrodi Park in the safeguard and preservation of biodiversity in our island. As a matter of fact, the Park houses 130 vertebrate wildlife species out of a total of 193 recorded in Sicily. The presence in the area of a great number of ecological niches has given to several animal species, including rare species, the opportunity to survive.
